Actually Boots, it was just one example of the superiority of the Sooners over the texas team…
OU has beaten Texas by a 40+ point margin in 2003 (+52 points), in 2000 (+49 points, and the video in question), in 1956 (+45), and in 1908 (+50). The Shorthorns have never (as in not even once) beaten OU by 40….
I could also point to the fact that the Sooners have 6 Big XII titles, and Texas has only 2, that OU has 7 South Division titles – Texas has only 4…
BTW, when is the last time that Texas played in the Big XII Championship Game? 2005? OU has been in every one of them since then….

"Texas leads the all-time series 58–40–5, with a 45–36–4 edge in Dallas" per Wiki. I don't think any team has a historical record with more wins vs. losses against Texas. Also Texas was in the SW conference for most of their history. Only been in the Big 8/12 for last 10 years or so.

Texas does lead the all-time series 58-40-5. Since 1946 (the modern era), it is Texas by only two games (31-29-3). When both teams have been ranked, OU leads the series 17-14-3. When both are top 10 teams, OU again leads (8-7-1), as is the case when both are in the top 5 (5-4-1).
The Big XII is a new conference, starting in 1996. Of the 13 years that the conference has been in existence, OU has won 6 conference titles, more than any other team in the conference, and has played in 7 conference championship games. Texas has played in 4 and only won twice. As far as total conference titles, OU has 42 (6-Big XII; 33-Big 8; 1-Missouri Valley; 2-Southwest) while Texas has 30 (2-Big XII; 26-Southwest; 2-TIAA). Looking further, OU has 7 national titles (1950, 1955, 1956, 1974, 1975, 1985, and 2000) while Texas has only 4 (1963, 1969, 1970, and 2005).
In the AP Poll, OU has 97 weeks at #1 (leads the nation) while Texas has 45 weeks at #1. OU has the most wins since both the AP Poll started (1936) and since WWII. They have more 11+ and 10+ win-seasons than any other team in the nation.
One area that Texas does lead in – as far as I can tell, they are the only team that butchered and ate their own mascot…. remember, Bevo, it's what's for dinner…

LOL, well Boots, when ESPN says that your team is the most prestigious program since the AP Poll started due to the history of the Sooners, who am I to argue? As ESPN noted, "But the real fuel for OU's rise to the top of our rankings has been its conference dominance." They note that no team in the nation has dominated their conference the way that OU has dominated theirs.
